Puffco Pivot

• Quick-release 3D Chamber in a pen-sized body
• 4 preset heat settings plus Boost Mode
• Light bar that doubles as a dab timer
• About 20 seconds to heat up
• Fast USB-C charging in about 45 minutes
• Connects to glass rigs with the Pivot Glass Adapter

The Puffco Pivot is one of the smallest devices in Puffco’s lineup and the easiest way into their 3D Chamber technology. It’s a dab pen in size, but it heats and hits more like a small e-rig.

Instead of a coil, the Pivot uses a quick-release ceramic 3D Chamber that heats from the side walls. Real-time temperature control keeps each dab consistent from the first pull to the last. For our hands-on take, read the full Puffco Pivot review.

Everything Else You Need to Know About the Puffco Pivot

Build Quality and Materials

The Pivot has a slim metal body with a soft silicone mouthpiece. The chamber and mouthpiece come off quickly without unscrewing, which makes loading and cleaning easy.

It’s small enough to sit in a pocket, and the light bar on the front shows your heat setting, heat-up progress and battery level at a glance.

How does it work?

Hold the button for 3 seconds to turn it on. Open the mouthpiece and drop a small dab onto the bottom of the chamber. Don’t overpack it. Close the cap, then single-click to choose a heat setting.

Double-click to start heating. The Pivot buzzes and flashes when it’s ready. Hold it upright and inhale slowly. Want a bigger hit? Double-click again once it’s ready to activate Boost Mode.

Pros and Cons

Pros

• Real 3D Chamber flavour in a pocket-sized pen
• Simple one-button operation
• Fast 45-minute charge
• Works with glass rigs using the Glass Adapter

Cons

• No app or custom temperatures
• Battery life drops on higher settings
• Mouthpiece can get warm on hotter settings

Temperature Settings

The Pivot has four built-in heat settings:

• Blue (Low), 500°F / 260°C: Flavour-first dabs with lighter vapour
• Green (Medium), 520°F / 271°C: A balance of flavour and vapour
• Red (High), 540°F / 282°C: Bigger clouds with good flavour
• White (Peak), 585°F / 307°C: Maximum vapour and potency

There’s no single best setting. It depends on your concentrate and what you like, so try each one. Boost Mode adds 15 seconds and 18°F to your heat cycle for a stronger hit.

Features That Stand Out

The light bar is one of the Pivot’s best touches. It shows your heat setting, fills as the chamber heats up, then works as a visual timer so you know how much of your dab is left.

Haptic feedback lets you know when it’s ready without looking. For fun, there’s also Disco Mode, which cycles the light bar through colours.

Cleaning and Maintenance

After each dab, swab the bowl and mouthpiece while the chamber is still warm. A good rule is to do a deeper clean every time the battery runs out.

For a deep clean, detach the chamber and mouthpiece from the base, then soak the chamber in 90% or higher isopropyl alcohol for 20 minutes. Don’t rinse it with water. Turn it upside down and let it air dry completely before putting it back. Never rinse or submerge the base. Clean its thread block with an iso-dipped swab instead. If the light flashes red and white, remove the chamber, clean it and reinsert it.

Flavour and Cloud Performance

Side-wall heating warms concentrate evenly, so the Pivot keeps terpene flavour intact better than most coil-based pens. Lower settings are great for live rosin and other flavourful extracts.

Clouds are strong for the size, especially on High and Peak. Pair it with glass for smoother, water-filtered hits.

Accessories and Parts That Fit

Keep a Puffco Pivot 3D Chamber 2-Pack on hand to preload dabs or swap in a fresh chamber. Spare Puffco Pivot Mouthpiece Attachments are handy to have too.

The Puffco Pivot Glass Adapter turns your Pivot into a mini e-nail for your bong or rig. It includes a Pivot 3D Chamber and both 10mm and 14mm joints.
