The Dr Dabber Ghost 2 is a complete redesign of the Ghost, the pen that launched Dr Dabber back in 2013. It swaps the original’s slim tube for a compact, block-style body that fits comfortably in your hand and slips easily into a pocket. It’s a dab pen in size, but with features you’d usually find on a small e-rig.

Build Quality and Materials

The Ghost 2 feels solid and premium for its size. A hinged top with a magnetic closure opens for loading and snaps firmly shut, so it won’t pop open in a pocket or bag.

The mouthpiece spins a full 360 degrees, so you can hit it from the front or the side. There’s also a small hole at the top that works as a choke, letting you control airflow as you pull.

The mouthpiece and airflow regulator are ceramic, keeping vapor away from plastic and silicone. Built-in protections guard against overheating, short circuits and charging problems.

How does it work?

Hold the button for 2 seconds to turn it on. Flip open the top and load about half a pea-sized dab directly on the bottom of the chamber, then close the lid. Don’t overload it, since too much concentrate restricts airflow and gives you less vapor.

Click once to see your current temperature, and click again within 3 seconds to change it. Triple-click to switch heating modes, then double-click to start heating. The light pulses red while it heats, then turns green and vibrates when it’s ready. Take long, slow drags.

Each heat cycle runs for 30 seconds once it reaches temperature. Double-click during heating to add 15 seconds, or click once to cancel. Want a longer session? Just start a second cycle right after the first one ends.

To check the battery, click 4 times. Green means 70% or higher, yellow is 30% to 70%, and red is under 30%. Three white flashes mean it’s time to charge.

Temperature Settings

The five built-in presets (approximate) are:

• Purple: 420°F / 216°C
• Blue: 450°F / 232°C
• Cyan: 480°F / 249°C
• Yellow: 510°F / 266°C
• White: 540°F / 282°C

Cyan is Dr Dabber’s default and recommended setting. Purple and Blue bring out the most flavor but are light on vapor. For the biggest clouds and the most out of your concentrate, use the top two settings.

Features That Stand Out

Dynamic heating modes set the Ghost 2 apart from other pens:

• Descent (default): Slowly cools after reaching your set temp, like a banger cooling off.
• Ascent: Slowly climbs after reaching your set temp, like torching a banger as you inhale.
• Steady: Holds your set temperature for the whole cycle.

The lights show which mode you’re on: a downward pattern for Descent, a pulse for Steady and an upward pattern for Ascent. The difference between modes is subtle, so don’t be surprised if you pick one and leave it there. The Ghost 2 remembers your last temperature and mode when you turn it off and on, and haptic feedback lets you feel every click.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Heat the chamber for 3 to 5 seconds, then soak up residue with a dry cotton swab. Use a swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol for stubborn spots on the bottom and walls without pressing too hard, then heat it for another 3 to 5 seconds to evaporate any leftover alcohol. Never soak the chamber in alcohol or any other liquid, and don’t heat it empty, since dry burning shortens its life.

For a deeper clean, pull off the mouthpiece and silicone top, remove the airflow regulator, and soak all three in isopropyl alcohol for no more than 20 minutes. Let everything air dry for at least 20 minutes before putting it back together.

Clean the shell with a paper towel dipped in warm water only, since alcohol can fade the finish. Don’t store the Ghost 2 upside down while it’s warm, since melted concentrate can run into the airpath.

Flavor and Cloud Performance

The deep chamber and sidewall heating warm concentrate evenly for smooth, consistent hits. The depth also keeps backsplash down, so the device stays cleaner between sessions. With ceramic lining the vapor path, flavor stays clean, especially on the lower presets.

Clouds are solid for a pocket device, especially on the top two settings. For the best results, keep dabs small and on the chamber floor.

Accessories And Parts That Fit

The narrow chamber is much easier to load with a heated tool. The Dr Dabber Drop lets you place your dab right in the centre without scraping the walls.

The chamber is a wear part that Dr Dabber recommends replacing every 3 to 12 months, depending on use and cleaning. Signs it’s time include a dark or crusted chamber, a burnt taste after cleaning, or fewer clouds. Swap in a new Dr Dabber Ghost 2 Atomizer and Chamber, then recalibrate: leave the device off and unplugged for 15 minutes, then click the button 4 times and hold on the 4th click until the lights flash green 3 times.
