I’m Riley, the founder and owner of Canadian Vaporizers. I got into the vaporizer industry when I was 19 and have spent more than 10 years running online vaporizer stores in Canada. Every review, comparison and buying guide on this site is written by me.
About Me
I started Canadian Vaporizers in 2018. Since then I’ve personally tested almost every vaporizer on the market, from simple 510 thread batteries to premium portables, desktop vapes and electric dab rigs.
That’s a lot of sessions, a lot of cleaning, and a lot of devices that didn’t make the cut. It’s given me a good feel for what holds up over time and what doesn’t.
How I Test
I don’t write about a device until I’ve used it myself. I load it, run real sessions, clean it, and use it long enough to notice the things a spec sheet won’t tell you.
When I review something, I look at:
- Vapour production and how it changes between settings
- Flavour and how smooth the draw is
- Ease of use, from the controls to loading and emptying
- Build quality, including the atomizer or chamber
- Battery life in real sessions
- Cleaning and day-to-day maintenance
- Warranty and long-term value
I’ll also tell you when a device isn’t worth it, even if it’s one we sell. A good recommendation matters more to me than a single sale.
