The PAX Mini 2, officially called the PAX Mini and often called the New PAX Mini, is PAX's smallest and simplest dry herb vaporizer. It's the updated version of the original Mini, keeping the same pocket-sized design while adding the features people asked for.

The biggest upgrades are four heat modes, a larger oven and adjustable loading. The original Mini had no temperature settings. The Mini 2 lets you choose the session you want, from light and flavorful to dense and cloudy. The oven now holds up to 0.5g, and a half lid lets you drop to 0.25g for quick solo sessions.

Build Quality and Materials

The PAX Mini 2 has a lightweight anodized aluminum body that resists scratches and everyday wear. Inside, the vapor path is sealed, medical-grade stainless steel for clean flavor and easy cleaning.

The magnetic oven lid seals securely so herb stays put in your pocket, but it pops off easily for loading. The mouthpieces sit flush with the body and swap in seconds.

How does it work?

Here's how to use the PAX Mini 2:

1. Charge it fully with the magnetic charging cable.
2. Press either side of the oven lid to pop it off.
3. Grind your herb medium-fine and pack the oven firmly, without overfilling. Use the half lid for smaller sessions.
4. Replace the lid, install a mouthpiece and hold the button for 2 seconds to start heating.
5. Tap the button to choose a heat mode, then shake gently to lock it in.
6. When the LED petals turn green, inhale gently.

Shake the device any time to check your battery. It shuts off on its own when it's been idle.

The PAX Mini 2 has four heat modes, shown by the LED petals:

• Petal 1 (Purple): 356°F / 180°C. Light, flavorful vapor.
• Petal 2 (Green): 374°F / 190°C. Longer sessions that stretch your herb.
• Petal 3 (Yellow): 392°F / 200°C. Thicker vapor that's still smooth.
• Petal 4 (Orange): 420°F / 215°C. Maximum vapor and dense clouds.

Lip-sensing technology fine-tunes the heat as you draw, so vapor stays consistent without overheating your herb.

The adjustable oven is the biggest win. Use the standard lid for a full 0.5g session, or switch to the half lid for a quick 0.25g bowl without wasting herb.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Clean the PAX Mini 2 every few sessions to keep flavor fresh and airflow clear:

1. Remove the mouthpiece and oven lid.
2. Use the multi-tool to push out the oven screen.
3. Clear the vapor path with the wire brush.
4. Wipe the oven and top of the device with a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol.
5. Soak the screen in isopropyl alcohol if needed, then rinse and dry it. Don't soak the oven lid.
6. Let everything dry completely before reassembling.
