The G Pen Dash 2 (also called the Dash II) is the follow-up to G Pen's popular Dash, released in 2026. It keeps the small, pocket-friendly feel that made the original so popular, then upgrades almost everything else.

The chamber is bigger, at 0.4g, so you can load fuller bowls. Instead of three preset temperatures, you get precise control in one-degree steps, shown on a clear OLED display. There's also an adjustable session timer, a cooling insert in the mouthpiece and USB-C pass-through charging.

Build Quality and Materials

The Dash 2 has a compact, lightweight aluminum body that feels solid and fits easily in a pocket. The OLED screen is built right into the front, and it only lights up when the device is on.

The ceramic chamber holds up well to repeated heating and cleaning. The magnetic mouthpiece pops off easily for loading, and the silicone sleeve keeps it comfortable during longer sessions.

How does it work?

1. Charge it fully with a USB-C cable (not included).
2. Remove the magnetic mouthpiece and load your herb into the chamber.
3. Replace the mouthpiece.
4. Hold the main button for 3 seconds to turn it on.
5. Set your temperature with the + and – buttons.
6. Press the main button twice to start heating.
7. When it vibrates, it's ready. Draw slowly.

Press the main button 5 times quickly to open the settings menu, where you can adjust the session timer, turn haptic feedback on or off, and switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius.

Temperature Settings

Set any temperature from 370°F to 428°F (190°C to 220°C) in one-degree steps. The OLED display shows your setting in real time.

Lower temperatures give lighter, smoother vapor with the best flavour. As you turn it up, the vapor gets thicker. Many people start low and raise the temperature as the session goes on.

The adjustable session timer lets you set how long each session lasts. It's 3 minutes by default, but you can shorten or extend it to fit your routine.

The cooling insert in the mouthpiece is another nice touch. It helps filter and cool the vapor, making hits more comfortable for such a small device.

Cleaning and Maintenance

1. Remove the magnetic mouthpiece.
2. Use the built-in loading tool to clear out leftover herb after each session.
3. Brush or wipe the mouthpiece screen to keep airflow clear.
4. For a deeper clean, remove the mouthpiece insert and clean it with a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol.
5. Gently wipe any residue from the ceramic chamber with a cotton swab, without using too much liquid.
6. Let everything dry fully before putting the mouthpiece back on.

The ceramic chamber gives clean, neutral flavour, especially early in the session and at lower temperatures. As the session goes on, the vapor gets thicker. It's a noticeable step up from the original Dash in vapor production.
