The Arizer XQ2, sometimes called the Arizer Extreme Q2, is the successor to the legendary Arizer Extreme Q. The original was one of the most popular home vaporizers ever made, and the XQ2 keeps everything people loved about it while bringing it fully up to date.

Build Quality and Materials

The XQ2 keeps the Extreme Q's familiar cone shape, with the bowl on top and the electronics below. It takes up very little counter space and fits in easily alongside other things at home.

Inside, a ceramic heating element powers the convection oven. Arizer covers that element with a lifetime warranty, which says a lot about how long these units are built to last. The bowls, whips and mouthpiece are glass, so your vapor never touches plastic.

How does it work?

1. Plug in the XQ2 and turn it on.
2. Grind your herb and fill one of the glass connoisseur bowls.
3. Set your temperature with the buttons or the remote.
4. Let it heat up. The lights blink green twice when it's at temperature.
5. Whip: Place the bowl on the heater, attach the whip and draw.
6. Balloon: Attach the balloon to the bowl, turn on the fan and let it fill. Then remove it and inhale through the mouthpiece.

Temperature Settings

You can set any temperature from 122°F to 500°F (50°C to 260°C). The XQ2 also has three presets you can program to your favourite temperatures, so switching between them takes one press.

Lower temperatures give you the most flavour, and higher ones give you thicker clouds. Many people start low and turn it up as the session goes on.

Features That Stand Out

The remote control is a big upgrade over the original Extreme Q. You can turn the XQ2 on or off, change the temperature and switch on the fan without getting up.

The LED light system is another fun touch. Choose one of eight colours, let it cycle through the spectrum, or use Dynamic Mode, where the colours show you what the XQ2 is doing:

• Pulses yellow to orange: Heating
• Blinks green twice: At set temperature
• Pulses orange: Temperature is stable
• Pulses purple: Fan is on
• Pulses cyan: Cooling down
• Pulses blue: Cooling down with the fan

The XQ2 also doubles as an aromatherapy diffuser. Use the included glass dish to diffuse your favourite essential oils or botanicals.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Turn the XQ2 off and let it cool. Empty the bowls, then soak the glass parts in isopropyl alcohol, rinse and let them dry fully. Wipe the outside of the unit with a cloth, and replace the screens and air filter when they get dirty.

Flavor and Cloud Performance

Full convection heats the air instead of the herb directly, so you get smooth, clean vapor with lots of flavour. The redesigned oven and airflow help extract your herb more fully, so you're not left with half-baked bowls.

Use the large connoisseur bowl for big, cloudy sessions, or the small one for lighter, flavour-focused hits.

Warranty
