About the Yocan Black Cloud 3.1 Coil
The Yocan Black Cloud 3.1 is the all-ceramic bucket coil used across the Yocan Black lineup. It comes pre-installed in devices like the Yocan Black Pocket, and this is the official replacement for when yours needs swapping.
It's 100% ceramic, so there's no exposed metal touching your concentrate. That means clean, true flavour with no metallic aftertaste. The bucket heats from every side (360°) instead of only from the bottom. Your concentrate vaporizes evenly, and you're left with fewer burnt spots and less wasted oil.
The 3.1 also has a larger chamber than the previous version, at roughly double the capacity. You can load more per session and reload less often. It's compatible with terp pearls, which help spread heat and move your concentrate around as you draw. Yocan has tested it for over 2,000 uses, so one coil lasts a long time with regular care.
Compatibility
The Black Cloud 3.1 fits these Yocan Black devices:
- Yocan Black Pocket
- Yocan Black Go
- Yocan Black Sip
- Yocan Black Phaser Max 2
- Yocan Black Phaser Ace 2
- Yocan Black Celestial 2
It's made for wax and concentrates only.

- Chamber: About double the capacity of the previous generation
- Terp Pearls: Compatible
- Rated Lifespan: 2,000+ uses

How to Replace the Coil
- Turn your device off and let the coil cool completely.
- Unscrew the old coil counterclockwise.
- Screw in the new coil clockwise until it's snug. Don't overtighten it.
- Put the terp pearls back in if you use them.
- Start with a few low-temperature sessions and small loads to break in the new coil.
When to Replace Your Coil
Even a long-lasting ceramic coil wears out. It's time for a new one when:
- Flavour stays muted or burnt even after cleaning
- The ceramic is cracked or chipped
- Residue builds up that won't wipe or burn off
- The coil heats unevenly or doesn't heat at all
You'll get more life from each coil with lower temperatures, smaller loads, and a quick wipe with a dry cotton swab while the bucket is still warm after each session. Avoid scraping the ceramic with metal tools.
