    About the Yocan Black Case

Most cart batteries look like exactly what they are. The Yocan Black Case doesn’t. From a distance it looks like the charging case for a pair of wireless earbuds, so you can leave it on a table or clip it to your bag without anyone giving it a second look.

Your cart slides inside the case and connects with a magnet, so only the mouthpiece tip pokes out. That keeps it discreet and protects your cart from getting knocked around in a pocket.

It’s not just about looks either. You get four voltage settings, a preheat mode and a 450mAh battery that’s big for a device this small. If you want a 510 battery case that’s easy to carry and doesn’t draw attention, the Yocan Black Case is a great pick.

Everything Else You Need to Know About the Yocan Black Case

    Build Quality and Materials

The Black Case fits in the palm of your hand and is light enough to carry all day, but it still feels solid. The included silicone cover adds a layer of shock protection, and Yocan says it can handle drops of up to about four feet.

The metal carabiner clips onto the case so you can hang it from your belt loop, keychain or backpack. That makes it a good travel battery, whether you’re heading to a friend’s place or out for the day.

    How does it work?

Everything runs off the single power button on the back:

    • Load your cart: Open the case, screw the magnetic adapter onto your cartridge, then slide it onto the base until the magnets snap into place. Close the case.
    • Turn on/off: Press the power button 5 times quickly.
    • Change voltage: Press the power button 3 times to switch settings. Let go and give it 1 to 2 seconds to lock in.
    • Preheat: Press the power button 2 times. Press it 2 more times to turn preheat off.
    • Charge: Plug in the included USB-C cable. A full charge takes about an hour.

To keep it in good shape, turn it off, remove your cart, and wipe the body with a dry paper towel or cloth. Let everything dry before putting it back together. If you’re storing it for a while, charge it first so the battery doesn’t sit completely drained.

Depending on how much you vape, a full charge can last anywhere from a day to much longer for occasional users.

    Pros and Cons

    Pros

    • Very discreet earbud case look
    • Cart stays hidden and protected
    • 4 voltage settings, including a low setting for thick oils
    • Preheat mode
    • Comes with a silicone cover and carabiner
    • Magnetic connection makes cart swaps easy

    Cons

    • Only 4 preset voltages, no fine-tuning
    • No screen for battery level or voltage
    • Bulkier than a slim pen-style battery

    Temperature Settings

The Black Case uses four preset voltages instead of exact temperatures.

    • 1.8V: Great for warming up thick or cold oils and getting the most flavour.
    • 2.6V: Smooth, flavourful hits. A good starting point for most carts.
    • 3.4V: A balance of flavour and vapour.
    • 4.2V: The biggest, thickest clouds, but can get harsh on some carts.

Start low and work your way up. If your oil is thick or your cart’s been sitting in the cold, use preheat or start at 1.8V for a puff or two.

    Warranty

The Yocan Black Case comes with a 3-month warranty. If something goes wrong in that time, send us a short video showing the issue. Once it’s confirmed defective, a replacement gets shipped out and there’s no need to send the original back.
