The Stundenglass Modul for Dry Herb replaces your lighter with an electric heater. Stundenglass calls it the Modul for Dry Material. It attaches magnetically to the side of a full-size Stundenglass or Kompact, heats up in as little as 15 seconds, and lights your flower evenly every time.

This is a combustion device, not a vaporizer. The quartz dry material tank runs at a fixed 850°F to 900°F, so you get the same smoke you'd get from a lighter, just without the flame, the singed fingers or the uneven cherry. The Stundenglass water filtration then cools and smooths it out.

You can't change the temperature, but you can set the session timer so the heater stays on as long as you need. The 6,000mAh battery is good for up to 50 sessions, and it charges over USB-C in about 2 hours with pass-through. Add the quartz concentrate tank later, and the same Modul handles dabs too.

Build Quality and Materials

The body is lightweight anodized aluminum, built to match your Stundenglass. The dry material tank is all quartz, which handles high heat well and won't add any taste of its own to your flower.

How does it work?

1. Attach the dry material tank to the Modul. The screen confirms which tank is connected.
2. Attach the Modul magnetically to your Stundenglass or Kompact.
3. Fill the lower globe with water and load your ground flower into the tank with the loading tool.
4. Set your session time with the dial and start the heat.
5. Rotate the Stundenglass while the Modul lights the flower, and the globe fills with smoke.
6. Pull from the mouthpiece, or rotate again to push the smoke out to you.

Temperature Settings

The dry material tank runs at a fixed 850°F to 900°F, which is hot enough to light flower evenly every time. There's no temperature setting to change. What you can control is the session timer, which decides how long the heater stays on. Set a short session for yourself or a longer one when you're passing it around.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Empty and clean the dry material tank after every use. Let it cool first. Use the loading tool to carefully clear ash and debris out of the holes, then wipe the tank with a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol for a deeper clean. Keeping the holes clear keeps the airflow strong and the smoke clean. Wipe the magnetic contacts every so often so the tank always connects properly.

The concentrate version ships with a quartz tank that lets you set the temperature from 392°F to 932°F.
